On April 26, known as “mini-Expo”, BLCU Eleventh World Cultural Party kicked off. Nearly a thousand foreign students from 60 countries on five continents showed their histories, customs and cuisine at this event. Foreign and Chinese students entertained the audience, presenting a cultural feast for students and teachers of Beijing Language and Culture University.
Beijing Language and Culture University is the first choice for international students studying Chinese in China, and also the school which enrolled the most international students. There are international students from more than 160 countries on five continents studying and living in Beijing Language and Culture University, therefore, it also known as “little United Nations”. The blend and collision of pluralistic cultures and the inter influences of Chinese and foreign students has formed an inclusive campus culture environment for Beijing Language and Culture University, making it an international university with highest degree. The school attaches great importance to cross-cultural exchange between Chinese and foreign students, and will host a number of cultural events each year with specific features. Among the events, the World Culture Party is a traditional activity continued for a decade, and also the largest, most concerned culture event with the most participants and the longest continuation of time in Beijing Language and Culture University.
