On April 4, Tokyo College of Beijing Language and Culture University ushered in the opening ceremony of the 2018 spring semester. Professor Liu Li, President of Beijing Language and Culture University, led a delegation to the opening ceremony.

In his speech, President Liu Li introduced the idea and characteristics of the running of Tokyo College’s base camp, BLCU, which enjoys the reputation of "Mini United Nations", its achievements in teaching and scientific research, and its contributions to the country and society. President Liu sent a message to students to overcome difficulties, study studiously, and he hopes that students can become experts that proficient in Chinese, familiar with Chinese culture in the future.

The two new students said they must study Chinese and Chinese culture seriously, actively participate in various activities organized by the college, communicate with students from all over the world, and strive to widen their international vision.

Beijing Language and Culture University Tokyo Institute is now in its fourth year. As President Liu said in his speech, "I wish BLCU Tokyo Institute the best and can make it an excellent university".
