From April 5 to 8, more than 30 students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan attended a four-day study tour in Anyang, Henan province under the guidance of teachers from the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Hong Kong, and Taiwan.

BLCU students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan visited the Chinese Character Museum. Students had a deep understanding of the evolution of Chinese characters, from oracle bone script to large seal script, small seal script, clerical script, regular script, and Modern Chinese characters. The Chinese characters are in constant evolution and inheritance. The students were shocked by the long-standing culture of the Chinese nation. They also visited the famous “classical city-state” yin ruins palace ancestral temple ruins, it is the earliest known Chinese mature text, known as the earliest "archives" in ancient China. During the visit, students learned about the living environment of people in the Shang dynasty and the customs of sacrifice and marriage and burial, which further deepened their understanding of traditional Chinese culture.

BLCU Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students gained a lot from the national conditions investigation activities. Some students said, “although I learned Chinese history from an early age, a lot of them are general knowledge. In Anyang, I had a deep understanding of the evolution of Chinese characters and the profound Chinese culture. In the red flag canal, the spirit of unity and endeavor of the Chinese people made me feel proud as a Chinese.”
