The Confucius institute at Kansai University has successfully held the 2018 winter Chinese camp for senior high school students in the central palace campus.

This activity has changed to 5 days centralized lecture from 3 days and 2 nights accommodation type centralized lecture over the previous years, and the content is more rich. High school students are divided into different groups (3~4 people in each group) every day, respectively, to participate in the Chinese conversation, relevant China's press conference, they learn to sing Chinese songs, attend Chinese cultural experience activities (Chinese paper-cut), Chinese social profile (film appreciation), short drama performance and various lectures.

At the end of the event, high school students have said, “before attending the lecture, I don't know much about China, through the five days activities and the communicating with the international students once studied in China, I have determined to study abroad in China." he said.”. “I want to learn Chinese, and personally go to China to explore and perceive what kind of country China is”.
