On March 20, 2018 spring semester international student work arrangement meeting was held in conference room 909, comprehensive building.
Liu Wei, Deputy Secretary affirmed the unremitting efforts of the international student management team, thanked them for their hard work, meanwhile he put forward requirements to the work of international student management and education service: First, to enforce the daily management of international students, in the premise of completing the basic work, further work should be done including finding problems and solving problems; Second, grasp the national policy and situation, establish the concept of convergence management of Chinese and foreign students; Third, increase the campus anti-drug propaganda, strengthen the security and stability work, to ensure the security and stability of the campus; Fourth, to further strengthen the work norms, the implementation of the requirements that the higher authorities made to BLCU management, strengthen the work in visa management, attendance management and other work.
Ma Xiaolei, Deputy Director of the Office of Student Affairs, reported on the international student management and education service work and related situations in the fall semester of 2017, summarized the hot issues in the work at this stage, and conveyed the work requirements of the higher authorities such as the Ministry of Education and the China Scholarship Council on exit and entry, visa, student status (student’s archive), scholarship safety management and other work.
Zhou Xin, Director of the Office of Overseas Students Affair, introduced the enrollment situation of international students in BLCU in this semester. The Heads of the International Management Office of all College of the Faculty of International Education of Chinese language introduced the work plan of this semester respectively, and decided the working ideas according to the difficult problems in the work of this semester. The work arrangement meeting laid a good foundation for the smooth running of international students work in the new semester.
