On the morning of March 20, local time, at the invitation of Confucius institute in Islamabad, Zahid Latif, a retired Air Force General Lieutenant General of Pakistan, gave a seminar on the war on terrorism and the security situation in Pakistan, entitled “the war on terrorism in Pakistan”.

    In his report, Zahid Latif used a great deal of facts and data to analyze the complex historical causes and international and domestic factors of terrorism in Pakistan. In his view, terrorism was an extremely complex international issue for which Pakistan had long been at the forefront of the war on terrorism, with strenuous efforts and enormous sacrifices.

Zahid Latif presented Pakistan’s current counterterrorism strategy with detailed information and its successful performance and results in the war on terrorism. However, a definitive solution to the problem of terrorism remains to be found. Pakistan’s future defense cooperation with China is also very important.
