On March 13, 2018 the headquarters of Confucius institute / hanban started the pre-service training for Chinese teachers volunteering in Thailand and other Asian countries in Beijing Language and Culture University.

    As a multi-disciplinary University with the characteristics and advantages of language teaching and research and the coordinated development of Chinese, foreign language and related disciplines, Beijing Language and culture University has become an important academic center for language and cultural research in China and abroad and a cradle for cultivating foreign-related talents. For a long time, BLCU has given full play to the characteristics and advantages of Chinese international education and Chinese culture education, and is committed to cultivating excellent teachers for Confucius institutes. Since 2010, BLCU has undertaken more than 30 pre-service trainings for teachers, Deans and volunteers for the Confucius institutes / hanban, and has trained a large number of Chinese teaching talents.
