In strokes of ink, the sketches of landscape paintings were drawn in light of changes. The Chinese painting experience course became a traditional cultural event of the Confucius Institute at George Mason University from 2015. Every time in the Chinese painting class, the students participated in enthusiasm. After the class, they went back home with their own work full of accomplishment.

    Confucius Institute at George Mason has a Chinese painting class once a week.The theme of traditional Chinese painting is selected according to different times, and it is varied. It includes plants, animals, and landscapes, and the difficulty of painting varies from easy to difficult. The different themes of traditional Chinese painting allow people to experience the changes in the form and color of natural things, as well as the delicate subtleties of traditional Chinese painting.

     Experience Chinese culture and feel its artistic charm in a splash of ink. More and more students and community members have expressed their willingness to participate in Chinese painting courses. It is hoped that Confucius Institute at George Mason will carry out more forms of cultural experience activities.
