From September 23 to 30, Vice President Dong Lisheng led a delegation to visit the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore MILANO, Italy and the University of Sheffield, Italy, attended the Confucius Institute at the Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore MILANO, Italy of Milan and attended the 10th Anniversary of the Confucius Institute at Sheffield University activity.

During his visit to Italy, Vice-Chancellor Dong held a symposium on the teachers and volunteers of the Confucius Institute. The delegation showed up at the teaching content display of the fifth session of the Italian and San Marino Chinese teaching skills competition that involving a Confucius Institute volunteer teacher Zhang Yingying from China, Vice President Dong Lijun encouraged her to have enough confidence to add luster to the Confucius Head. Dong Lijun also met with the principal Li Qunlai of Milan Longjia Chinese School, hoping to cooperate with the Dragon Chinese school to recruit Italian students to study in BLCU.

During his visit to the UK, the delegation took part in the opening ceremony of the 10th anniversary of the Confucius Institute at Sheffield University and the opening ceremony of Confucius Institute demonstration. Our delegation also discussed with the head of the international exchange affairs department of Sheffield University to further develop the inter-university cooperation between Sheffield local primary and secondary education institutions and the primary school English Teaching by foreign English teachers project of BLCU deputed by Beijing Municipal Committee.
