From September 25 to September 30, BLCU Confucius Institute Overseas Tour Group visited Confucius Institute at the University of Kentucky, the Confucius Institute at Tennessee Johnson University, the Confucius Institute at Luis Anna Xavier University in New Orleans, and the Confucius Institute at Bahamas University. The theme of the tour was “The Belt and Road Civilization Impression”, and they held four rounds of “three tours” art tour activities.

BLCU Confucius Institute Overseas Tour Group combined a variety forms of art performances of the Western regions culture and Pastureland culture dating back to the Han dynasty including Chinese classical music, dance, traditional Kunqu opera, Mongolian music and dance and other forms of art performances, which had built a platform for cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and foreign countries, and had furthered the research on cooperation and cultural exchanges of new Sinology and China studies.

“Three tours” is a major cultural exchange project carried out by the Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban in order to play the Chinese cultural communication role of the Confucius Institute and to enrich the activities of the Confucius Institutes. Each year, Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban will select well-known scholars and art groups nationwide to showcase Chinese culture and to deepen traditional friendships in the forms of tour performance, tour lecture and tour exhibition.
