On August 29, the wind was mild and the sun was bright, the blue sky was cloudless. On the Wutong Avenue of Beijing Language and Culture University, flags of worldwide nations fluttered in the breeze, the campus was Joyous and peaceful, the "Mini United Nations" ushered in 2017 Chinese undergraduate freshmen. This year, the total enrollment number of BLCU was 1154, and the source of students covered all China’s provinces, municipalities, districts and Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan regions.
This year, the student orientation system of our university had been totally upgraded, and the system for 2017 new students opened in early August. The new data collection work had been completed before their arrival report, making the on-site reporting process further simplified. The staff could complete the reporting process by scanning the QR code on student's mobile within a few minutes.
Through a large-screen, the real-time update of report progress was at a glance. Till 6 p.m., the total report number of 2017 new students had reached 1098 (except Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students who have not yet begin to report), the rate of 98.7% reported.
