BLCU Students Won in the Sixth Beijing Undergraduates Calligraphy Contest

Recently, hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission, undertaken by the Capital Normal University, the sixth Beijing Undergraduates Calligraphy contest came to an end. Grade 2016 students Cheng Yuer and Liu Jialei from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Science participated in the contest, and finally won the first prizes of the soft pen calligraphy non-professional group.

The competition had the candidates from the Beijing Normal University, Communication University of China and other 20 Beijing University. BLCU students Cheng Yuer and Liu Jialei’s works stood out in more than 300 pieces of preliminary works, and went to the final context. In the final links include definite topic writing, selective topical writing, they showed their calm and ultimately achieved good results.

Beijing Undergraduate Student Calligraphy Competition had been held for the sixth successive time since it was first held in 2012 and had been designed to strengthen the cultural heritage among the institutions of higher education, play the role of cultivate and education, promote the calligraphy culture, inherit the calligraphy art, promote calligraphy knowledge, encourage students to study and innovate Calligraphy, and to stimulate college students' senses of national pride and patriotism.
