On June 10, the 2017 “Cultural and Natural Heritage Day”, which was organized by the Beijing Language and Capital University and the Capital Museum was successfully held at BLCU.
Activities also held the unveiling ceremony of bronze artifacts “Kehe, Kelei”. Mr. Feng Hao, an associate researcher at the Capital Museum, briefed the guests and Chinese and foreign teachers and students on the historical and cultural significance of the unearthed cultural relics and led us to observe the cultural relics at close range.
Chinese and foreign guests experienced the tea ceremony, Chinese medicine, traditional incense-smelling ceremony, eight feet music and other traditional culture, and watched horse head fiddle, Sichuan opera face, Yi dance, Kun opera and other performances with national characteristics, feel the unique charm of traditional Chinese culture. Under the leadership of the staff, the participants visited the the theme exhibition of “guardian cultural heritage, embrace the future of mankind”. The exhibition area was divided into three main areas: the exhibition hall, the cultural heritage display area along the silk road, the cultural heritage display area along the maritime silk road. Through the drawings and objects, the exhibition showed the Material culture/intangible culture of the key regions and countries along the Silk Road. Along the silk road, camel bell lingers, is an ancient painting; along the maritime silk road, trumpets ring, is a cheerful song.
This event aimd to implement the important instructions of the General Secretary of Xi Jinping, “Let the collection of cultural relics in the museum, displaying in every corner of the world, written in the ancient books come to live and return to modern life”, through the forms of exhibition and high-level Conference on cultural exchange, allowed the Chinese and foreign guests and the youth generation have a more intuitive understanding of the history of Chinese culture, deepen the conception of cultural and natural heritage protection, enhance the sense of heritage protection, contribute to the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
