June 12, the seventh session of Beijing foreign students “Mandarin Language Star” Competition final was held at China Beijing TV station, BLCU students Tata from Rwanda and Mi Daxie from Norway were awarded the first and second place and were among the top 10 foreign students in “Mandarin Language Star” of Beijing Colleges, Tang Shenghao from Italy won the outstanding performance award. Three BLCU instructors include Feng Weigang won the “Mandarin Language Star” excellent instructors title, BLCU won the outstanding organization award.
The competition was hosted by the Beijing Municipal Education Commission and the State language affairs commission, and was undertaken by Beijing International Center For Chinese Language. The event lasted for two and a half months, a total of more than 110 countries all over the world, nearly 1750 international students positively enrolled. Through the rounds and levels include sea election, preliminary, semi-finals and the final. BLCU participants became more courageous, fully showed the excellent language skills, their knowledge reserves, and their deep understanding of the profound Chinese culture of BLCU international students.
