March 31, the Final and award ceremony for consecutive interpreting of the sixth session of the International Translation & Interpreting Contest of BLCU, was held in 209 of the first teaching building. Nine Candidates from the University of Leeds, University of International Business and Economics, Renmin University of China, China Foreign Affairs University, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong (Shenzhen), and Beijing Language and Culture University brought a brilliant war of interpretation.

The competition was hosted by the Beijing Language and Culture University, undertook by the Office of Advanced Translation of the Foreign Language Institute, and directed by the Conference Management Division of the United Nations Office in Geneva. The theme of the competition is “2030 Sustainability Goals: China and the World”. The finals are divided into two parts: the simultaneous interpretation of French and Chinese characters and the simultaneous interpretation of English and Chinese. The contest is divided into two categories: translation contest and interpretation contest. In addition, the contest is added for the first time (English) simultaneous translation.

Beijing Language and Culture University International Translation & Interpreting Competition provided a challenge to the people who love and learn translation all over the world with a platform for challenge yourself, beyond the self, thus promoting the development of translation and interpreting, as well as international political, economic and cultural exchanges.
