On February 17th, teachers from the Confucius Institute at George Mason University held a teaching training activity for the Chinese teachers at Hope Chinese School at Tysons Corner, which is an influential school in Virginia. As a result, this activity expanded the visibility and influence of Confucius Teachers' workshops among local Chinese teachers.

On the same day, teacher Cao Hongli and about 20 teachers participated in the training shared the teaching experience of Elementary Chinese Grammar, explored how to analyze the typical bias of students, how to teach the grammar points, the necessity of sysematically master the grammar system, how to choose what to teach and other teaching related issues.

George Mason University Confucius Institute has established long-term contacts with most Chinese teachers through setting up weekend teachers’ workshop and the teachers' workshop in the campus and is ready to solve the problems in their teaching, give teaching suggestions for teachers, which is warm welcomed by the local Chinese teachers.
