On October 9, jointly organized by the Department of Education and Technology of the State Ethnic Affairs Commission and the Beijing Language and Culture University, the inauguration ceremony of China Ethnic Languages Applied Research Center was at held Beijing Language and Culture University.

Party Secretary Li Yuming said that it was an unshrinkable responsibility of Beijing Language and Culture University to construct this center well. The center will become an important part of the discipline construction and perfect opportunities for serving the needs of the country. The university will strive to build a good center to serve our country, serve the Civil Affairs Commission, serve academic circles, and all ethnic minority brothers.

“China Ethnic Languages Applied Research Center” will build an important platform and high-level think-tank for China ethnic languages application research, build a comprehensive platform for national languages including policy, work, research, application and learning, and carry out Marxism- National language theory research, ethnic language policy research, ethnic areas at all levels of bilingual education research, ethnic language resources protection research, ethnic language names and names of information research and so on.
