Recently, the third international seminar on Chinese prosodic grammar research was held at Beijing Language and Culture University. The symposium was organized by the Chinese Language and Applied Linguistics Center of the Chinese University of Hong Kong - Beijing Language and Culture University, and hosted by the School of Chinese Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Beijing Language and Culture University.

As an academic exchange platform for prosodic grammar study, this conference aims to provide equal exchange and free discussion opportunities for scholars and create a good academic atmosphere, thus promoting the rapid development of prosodic grammar research. The meeting also set up a special “Young Scholars Paper Award on Prosodic Grammar”, a total of eight finalists competed for this award.

The conference has made remarkable achievements in the construction of prosodic grammar theory system. It has made great progress in diachronic study of prosodic grammatical phenomena and prosody teaching and acquisition of Chinese as a second language. The convening of the conference has promoted the extensive exchange of academic colleagues in linguistic and literary circles, and promoted the development of prosodic grammar and the construction and popularization of disciplines.
