From March 3 to March 12, Beijing Language and Culture University President Liu Li and his group visited famous universities in central and eastern Europe.

The delegation made working visits to the Roland University in Hungary, the University of Vienna in Austria and the University of Geneva in Switzerland. They visited universities in Central Europe and other universities. They held fruitful talks with foreign parties on intercollegiate exchanges, scientific research cooperation, personnel training and teacher introduction. In particular, they reached a series of consensus with foreign parties on further cooperation in the field of linguistics, signed a number of cooperation memorandums and agreements, and frankly exchanged views on how to implement the cooperation agreements in the future. The delegation also visited Confucius Institutes in the above-mentioned universities to learn about the development of local Chinese teaching, attended the 33rd Austrian Higher Education Expo, publicized schools to the world and expanded the scope of cooperation with overseas universities.
