On the morning of March 12, the opening ceremony of the pre-job training for volunteers of Chinese teachers from Confucius Institute Headquarters/ National Hanban 2019 to Thailand was held in the 209 Lecture Hall of Beijing Language and Culture University No.1 Middle School.

Mr. Li Zhuo, Deputy Director of the Confucius Institute Headquarters/National Hanban Volunteer Service, welcomed everyone in his speech. He said that BLCU is one of China’s most important bases for international Chinese education and research. It has abundant Chinese teachers, remarkable scientific research achievements and a well-organized and complete personnel training system in the Chinese international education field. It has made important contributions to the construction of China’s soft power and the development of Chinese culture into the world.

Associate Professor Qiu Ping, Director of the Overseas Communication Center of Chinese Culture of Confucius Institute in BLCU, first welcomed the volunteers on behalf of BLCU. At the same time, he sincerely thanked Confucius Institute Headquarters/National Hanban for their support for BLCU and paid high tribute to the young and middle-aged training teachers devoting in the training positions.
