On the afternoon of December 1, the opening ceremony of the thirteenth cultural and academic month kicked off Month of Beijing Language and Culture University and the opening ceremony of the third academic forum for Humanities and Social Sciences were held in the Run Run Shaw Auditorium. The theme of this cultural and academic month is "learning and thinking on Taoism."

Vice-President Mr. Cao Zhiyun announced the official opening of the academic month. In his speech, he put forward suggestions to graduate students: First, academic discipline awareness. Second, cross innovation consciousness. The third is to social service awareness. The students should develop research capacity to find ways to serve the society.

Four teachers including Li Ling, Luo Weidong, Shi Jiawei and Yun Guoqiang participated in the "Dialogues with masters – the method of learning" link. They talked about the science of learning based on the characteristics of their own subjects, how to find academic research problems, and they gave brilliant and concise answer on how to improve their scientific research ability of the three issues during their undergraduate stage.

Representatives of youth teachers including Huang Yue, Wang Lijuan, Yang Linpo and Zhang Shanpeng and student representatives including You Shuai and Yu Jing participated in the "dialogue between youth teachers and excellent student representatives - human stories". The teachers and students had a relaxed and professional exchange on two questions including what is the progress of this Academic month activity compared with the previous session and how to balance the academic research with the contradictions in life?

"Human Month" has so far successfully held its 12th. Academic month will continue to bring more exciting activities and academic exchange platform.
