Recently, with the themes “Learning Chinese, touring Hanzhong, exploring the Han source, getting tio know China”, the base project of international students ’perception of Chinese culture was officially launched in Hanzhong City, Shaanxi province. The president  assistant Zhang Baojun signed a cooperation framework agreement with the Hanzhong municipal government on behalf of BLCU, and six international students of our university participated in the event. Hanzhong municipal party committee secretary Wang Jianjun, mayor Fang Hongwei, as well as more than 100 representatives from 35 countries, witnessed the project start.

The aim of the project was to provide international students learning Chinese in China, teachers and students of global Confucius Institutes, Overseas Chinese learning groups with practice teaching service of learning Chinese language, perceiving Chinese culture and getting to know the Chinese society.

After the launching ceremony, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology held a forum on international students’ perception of Chinese culture base project development.
