In the morning of January 6, the 2016 Annual Report of the Institute of Foreign Literature and Culture of the Department of Foreign Languages was held at 334, fifth Building. Party Secretary Li Yuming attended the meeting and gave academic lecture entitled the “Text to Cast the Soul”, more than 40 teachers and some graduate students participated in the report.

Secretary Li put forward three hopes for the Institute of Literature: First, he hoped that the Institute of Foreign Literature and Literature Institute of Chinese literature and research forces combine to communicate with each other, complement each other and promote each other. Second, he hoped that the institute can spread the seeds of literature, spread the power of literature, so that the sunshine of literature can get rid of the haze of society, the haze of the mind, so that the community can have more warmth, self-confidence and love. The third is to lead the literature come into secular life.

The 11 teachers of the institute exchanged views on literary writers and their works, translations, sinology, poetry creation, Chinese studies, and cultural studies. Guan Yuhong and Liu Juanjuan two teachers reported on the scientific research project progress of the institute, Guan Yuhong also reported the spirit of the meeting.
