Recently, Beijing Language and Culture University sophisticated language resources high-tech innovative center and national language resources monitoring and research print media center co-organized the “language resources and intelligent forum” series of lectures. Prof. Zong Chengqing, from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Prof. Xue Nianwen from the Department of Computer Science and Linguistics of Brandeis University were invited as the first guest speakers. The two experts shared their research achievements with the teachers and students of the university.

The lectures of two experts are rich in content, keeping abreast of the forefront of innovation, proposing beneficial research ideas and sharing experience for teachers and students, received warm welcome and high praise from everyone.

At the end of the lecture, the faculty and students of language resources high-tech innovation center and informatics held in-depth discussions with Prof. Xue Nianwen, the two sides exchanged in-depth information on inter-university cooperation and exchange, project research and personnel training and the expansion of the field on discourse annotation.
