On December 13, 2008, the Confucius Institute Headquarters / Hanban held a training program for volunteers for Korean primary and secondary school in 2017.
In his speech, Zhang Wangxi, Director of BLCU, extended a warm welcome to the volunteers and extended his heartfelt thanks to the Confucius Institute Headquarters for their strong support of BLCU. He introduced the course and training characteristics of the BLCU Teacher Training Center, and the Center was fully prepared for the training program for volunteers for Korean primary and secondary schools in terms of curriculum, teaching staff and logistical services.
After 12 years of development, the Confucius Institute has become a “bridge builder” and a window for understanding China and friendship and cooperation between China and other countries. The construction of the faculty is the foundation of the development of the Confucius Institute in the world. BLCU is one of the earliest institutions in China to take on the task of assigning teachers and volunteer to the Confucius Institute. The training will be based on the background of students and the characteristics of the country which they are to go, highlight the case teaching, strengthen teaching practice and cross-cultural communication skills, inviting outstanding experts at home and abroad, Confucius Institute dean, volunteers and students face to face to share their teaching experience, building a full range of career development platform for the volunteers.
