On the evening of December 2, the performance of Romanian Sibiu “Adruhr” Folk Art Troupe sponsored by the International Cooperation and Exchange Office and co-organized by the School Youth League Committee was performed brilliantly in the Run Run Shaw Lecture Hall of Beijing Language and Culture University. The Romanian “Adruhr” Folk Art Troupe was founded in the 1990s and is affiliated to the cultural center of Sibiwu Luzian Braga University. It is the most famous and popular student art troupe in Romania. The aim of the art troupe is to spread Romanian folk art and carry forward the national cultural tradition.

Romania is an old friend of the Chinese people. Vice President Zhang Baojun also mentioned in his speech that BLCU has a long history of cooperation with Romania, and has built Romania's first Confucius Institute with Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu as early as 2007. In the subsequent cooperation, BLCU helped Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu establish its first Chinese major, of which enrollment, teaching and management are the mainly responsibilities of Confucius Institute, which is the first Chinese major established by Confucius Institute worldwide. The first Confucius classroom in Romania was established with University of Ovidius. In November 2018, it was approved by Hanban as an independent Confucius classroom. All these cooperation have witnessed the friendly friendship between China and Romania.
